FolderSync is a small, compact yet a very useful tool which is used to check two different folders for changed or new files. The Foldersync software plays a very important role in making the two folders or directories have the same contents by intelligently synchronizing the two folders. The FolderSync software can also create the binary patch file of the changed and new files which can then be applied to the old directory so that the file contents in the old and new directory are the same. The software can be very useful in circumstances where the user wants to check, if two directories on his PC have the same contents or not. FolderSync compares the directories byte by byte and tells you which files have changed. More applications of the FolderSync software include synchronizing a directory on your network with one of the directories on your Laptop automatically as soon as the Laptop is connected to the network. The software also assists software developers in a useful way if they want to distribute newer versions of their software to their customers. They need not send the whole package again, if they have made a small change in the newer version. By creating a small patch file they can distribute only the changes to their customers.
